JULY 2

Left Hopewell Cape towards Moncton NB It was low tide and we could see all the empty streams, creeks and ditches but with mud sides 5-6 feet high up the edge. As the tide comes back in and runs up river it form a wave about 6 inches high that just keeps moving along upstream. That tide here runs about 30 miles up river.
Crossed into Nova Scotia and drove across more rugged terrain to the Atlantic Ocean on the south shore. Slowly made our way eastward along the coast stopping at different scenic spots to overlooking the ocean.
At Sherbrooke there is a pioneer village that still stands where it was built 150 years ago, and some the the building are still used as they were and houses are still lived in everyday. The really neat thing here is that this is not a recreation but it is a complete village of over 30 186o style businesses interspersed with private residences virtually unchanged since it was built.
We ended the day at Antigonish, a small university town.
