TRAVEL DAYS July 12 & 13

We enjoyed a nice breakfast with our friends Eric and Gillian and then got back on the road for North Sydney and the ferry to Newfoundland (NFLD). We did stop the visit the Army camp Scotia Glen for a quick tour and a break from the road and a bit of lunch then continue on east. We were at the ferry terminal before 7:30 and we were the first in line for vehicles our size. We had to wait until about 10:00 to board and in the meantime we visited with others who were waiting as well. We met one guy who lives about 5 miles from us in Ashton, he and 2 buddies were doing NFLD on bikes. He had a real nice 3 wheel Harley.
The ride across was smooth with very calm seas, not allowed access to vehicle so we read and snoozed the afternoon away. we did a quick tour of Port-aux-Basque then went north to Stephenville to spend the night.
